Hic et Nuc, I’ve been drinking watermelon champagne cocktails, treating myself to vegan chocolate mousse, writing a new poem, Courting a Silhouette, and filling the final summer days out-and-about with my daughter, Marlie. We go on vacation in a week, a much needed reprieve from the daily work/pre-school schedule we’ve become accustomed to. Upon our return, she’ll start Kindergarten, which results in me in slowing down to really enjoy these moments we have. To be happy now, rather than stating I’ll be happy when _______. That blank will continually shape-shift as time ticks on never truly being fulfilled, the main reason being the belief that something is needed to fill to fulfill it. All I need, is hic et nuc. I hope you all are enjoying your final days of summer!

Thanks for vegan recipe link. The chocolate mousse looks good.
You’ll have to let me know if you like it, Elizabeth :)
Ah, so true. Here and Now is so easy to discount. We forget to take the time to appreciate the glory of this moment. Glad that you’re seeing this while your daughter is still young–the days are fleeting.
Thank you, dayuntoday. The days are long and the years short, better to squeeze what I can out of them. It’s so easy to just get into the lather-rinse-repease phase of life, I’d much rather face the day with my eyes wide open.
I, too, plan to try that recipe for vegan chocolate mousse. Love the word play with fill and fulfill. So true.
You’ll have to let me know if you like the vegan chocolate mousse. It’s really good with fresh berries!
Love this!
Thanks for stopping by! I love your stories :)
